Why this matters

WikiRemedy works because real people share real experiences. Every rating influences what strangers decide to try for their health. That responsibility is worth taking seriously.

1. Share honest experiences only

Your rating should reflect what actually happened when you tried a remedy — not what you hope others will believe. Honest experiences, even negative ones, are more valuable than positive ones that aren't true.

  • Rate based on your own genuine experience
  • Be as specific as you can — duration, dosage approach, how it felt
  • Negative ratings are just as valuable as positive ones
  • If a remedy didn't work for you, say so clearly

2. Protect privacy — yours and others'

WikiRemedy is designed to be anonymous. Keep it that way.

  • Do not include your own name, email, or contact details in comments
  • Do not name or identify other people in your reviews
  • Do not share medical records or test results
  • Do not post content that could identify a specific person

3. No spam or commercial content

WikiRemedy is ad-free and has no commercial relationships with supplement brands, pharmaceutical companies or health product sellers. Keep it that way.

  • Do not post reviews you were paid or incentivised to write
  • Do not promote specific brands, sellers or products
  • Do not post affiliate links or discount codes
  • Do not create multiple accounts to inflate a remedy's rating

Accounts detected posting fake or incentivised reviews will be permanently weighted out of the community score.

4. Be respectful

People come to WikiRemedy in the middle of difficult health situations. Treat their experiences with care.

  • Do not post offensive, discriminatory or abusive content
  • Do not mock or dismiss other people's experiences
  • Disagreement is fine — hostility is not
  • Do not post content that could cause harm if acted on

We will remove content that violates these guidelines without notice.

5. Report concerns

If you see a review that appears fake, harmful or in breach of these guidelines, use the “Report” link beneath the review. Our moderation team reviews all reports.

  • Report reviews that appear fake or incentivised
  • Report content that is offensive or harmful
  • Report reviews that contain personal information
  • Do not use the report function to silence reviews you simply disagree with
