Privacy Policy

WikiRemedy (wikiremedy.org) is operated by WikiRemedy Pty Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. We operate a community-rated health remedy information platform.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

WikiRemedy is designed to be used anonymously. When you sign in, we use Web3Auth to generate a cryptographic wallet address from your login credentials. This wallet address becomes your WikiRemedy identity.

We never receive or store:

• Your name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• Your Google account details
• Any government identification

Your login provider (Google or email) communicates with Web3Auth directly. We only ever receive the resulting wallet address — a pseudonymous string like 0xa3f2...8c91.

When you use WikiRemedy we collect and store the following:

We do not collect IP addresses, device fingerprints, browsing history or any data beyond what is listed above.

Reminder email address. If you choose to receive a follow-up reminder when logging a remedy, you may optionally provide an email address. This address is stored only for the purpose of sending that single reminder email via our email delivery provider (Resend). We do not use it for marketing, do not share it with third parties, and delete it from active use once the reminder has been sent. You are never required to provide an email address to use WikiRemedy.

Remedy Reminder is a separate iOS app for tracking medications, supplements and health habits. It shares WikiRemedy's Supabase backend and Web3Auth identity system, described in section 2 above. In addition to the wallet-address identity model, Remedy Reminder collects:

• Your reminders and routines — medication, supplement and habit name, dose, frequency, times, and completion history
• Health snapshot data — height, weight, age, sex, step count, and sleep, synced read-only from Apple Health when you connect it
• Vaccination records and family health history, if you choose to add them
• Lab result values you enter, or that are extracted from a photo or PDF you upload (Premium feature)

Apple Health data. If you connect Apple Health, we only read data from it — the app never requests permission to write to Apple Health. This data is used solely to power features within the app, such as your health snapshot, and is never used for advertising or shared with third parties for advertising or data-mining purposes.

AI-powered features (Premium).Two Premium features send data to Anthropic's Claude API: scanning a lab result photo or PDF to extract values, and generating a plain-English health summary from your cardiovascular data. This data is processed only to generate your result and is not used to train Anthropic's models, in line with Anthropic's default commercial API data policy.

Subscriptions. Premium subscription payments are handled entirely by Apple via In-App Purchase. We never see or store your payment details.

Email addresses. If you sign in with email, your address is passed only to Web3Auth to send your magic link — the same as described in section 2. Remedy Reminder never stores your email address in our database or in the app beyond that sign-in step.

We use the information we collect to:

• Display your personal log of remedy attempts and ratings
• Calculate weighted community scores for remedies
• Detect and down-weight suspicious rating patterns
• Show your reputation level and contribution history
• Send browser-based follow-up reminders (if you opt in)

We do not use your information for:

• Advertising targeting
• Sale to third parties
• Profiling for commercial purposes
• Any purpose not listed above

Supabase — our database provider stores your data on encrypted servers. Supabase is SOC 2 Type 2 certified. Data is stored in their Singapore region.

Web3Auth — handles the cryptographic identity process. Web3Auth never shares your underlying login identity with us.

Vercel — hosts the WikiRemedy application.

Anthropic— for Remedy Reminder's Premium AI features (lab result scanning and cardiovascular health summaries), the relevant health data is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate your result. See section 4 above.

We do not share your data with pharmaceutical companies, supplement brands, advertisers or any other commercial parties.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion we will remove your wallet address, attempts, ratings and saved remedies from our database within 30 days.

Aggregated, anonymised community scores derived from your ratings (e.g. "312 people rated this 4.7 stars") cannot be retroactively removed as they do not contain personally identifiable information.

Requesting deletion. To request deletion of your account and all associated personal data, email contact@wikiremedy.org with the subject line "Data deletion request" and include your wallet address (visible in your Profile). We will action the request within 30 days and confirm by reply. No other information is required.

Under the Australian Privacy Act 1988 you have the right to:

• Access the personal information we hold about you
• Correct inaccurate personal information
• Delete your account and associated data
• Complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) if you believe we have breached the Privacy Act

WikiRemedy uses:

• Browser cookies — a single session cookie to maintain your logged-in state. No tracking or advertising cookies.
• LocalStorage — stores your onboarding completion status and login state on your device. This data never leaves your browser.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies, analytics cookies or advertising cookies.

WikiRemedy is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has created an account please contact us.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page with a revised effective date. Continued use of WikiRemedy after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
