for Sore Throat
A topical anti-inflammatory and local anaesthetic throat spray or gargle (e.g. Difflam) applied directly to the throat to relieve pain and inflammation.
How it works
Benzydamine inhibits prostaglandin synthesis at the throat surface, reducing pain and inflammation, with added local anaesthetic effects — all without significant systemic absorption.
What to watch for
Transient numbness or stinging in some users. Not recommended for children under 6. For symptomatic relief only — does not treat infection.
