How it works
Bismuth forms insoluble salts that inhibit fluid secretion. The salicylate component has anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial properties effective against common enteropathogens.
Turns stools and tongue temporarily black (harmless). Avoid with aspirin allergy, in children under 12, and in pregnancy. Contains salicylates — interacts with warfarin.
