How it works
Doxycycline inhibits P. acnes protein synthesis (30S ribosomal inhibition) and independently suppresses inflammatory cytokine production in the pilosebaceous unit.
Always combine with topical retinoid to prevent resistance. Maximum 3–6 months to minimise resistance development. Take with food. Sun sensitivity is common. Not for pregnancy or children under 8.
