for Haemorrhoids
Over-the-counter low-potency corticosteroid cream applied externally to relieve itching and inflammation associated with haemorrhoids.
How it works
Hydrocortisone suppresses local inflammatory mediators in perianal tissue, reducing itch, redness, and swelling.
What to watch for
For short-term use only (no more than 7–14 days). Prolonged use causes perianal skin thinning. Not suitable for internal haemorrhoids. Does not treat the underlying venous condition.
