How it works
Releases trigger points in the upper trapezius, levator scapulae, and rotator cuff muscles. Improves local blood flow and reduces the muscular guarding that limits shoulder mobility.
Most appropriate for the muscular component of shoulder pain. Should not be applied directly to acutely inflamed tendons or bursae. Best combined with targeted exercise for lasting benefit.
Finding a practitioner
Seek a qualified and registered practitioner. In Australia, check AHPRA (ahpra.gov.au) for registered health practitioners including physiotherapists, psychologists, and Chinese medicine practitioners.
