Nasal Corticosteroid Spray

for Sinusitis

Over-the-counter or prescription intranasal corticosteroid spray (budesonide, fluticasone, mometasone) used daily.

How it works

Reduces inflammation of the nasal and sinus mucosa, decreasing oedema that blocks sinus drainage and perpetuates infection.

What to watch for

Takes several days of consistent use before full effect. Do not use in the presence of nasal ulcers or after recent nasal surgery without medical advice.

โ€œIโ€™ve had a polyp removed in my left sinus over 15 years ago and had no issues for a long time then about two years ago it started to return. I was recommended Nasonex and too the 2 sprays in each nostril daily for most of the year. It has made my blocked left sinus go away. Not completely but now Iโ€™m breathing through both. Iโ€™ve now paused on the Nasonex and sticking with daily saline rinse instead.โ€
