for Plantar Fasciitis
Wearing a dorsiflexion night splint that keeps the foot at 90 degrees during sleep to prevent overnight plantar fascia tightening.
How it works
During sleep the foot naturally plantar-flexes, allowing the fascia to shorten. The first painful steps in the morning occur as shortened tissue is suddenly stretched. Night splints maintain stretch overnight.
What to watch for
Can be uncomfortable to sleep with initially. Dorsal (front) splints are more comfortable than posterior (back) splints for most people.
