How it works
Omega-3s primarily reduce triglycerides by decreasing liver production. They also modestly raise HDL and may improve LDL particle size.
High doses (4g+) should be discussed with a doctor. May have mild blood-thinning effects. Fish oil can cause fishy aftertaste — enteric-coated capsules help.
Strong evidence for triglyceride reduction (20–30% at 4g/day). Effect on LDL is modest but the overall cardiovascular risk reduction is well established.

“Some improvement but not as dramatic as I hoped. Might need longer to see full benefit. Still continuing.”
