for Diarrhoea
Soluble fibre that normalises stool consistency by absorbing excess water in the gut and adding bulk to loose stools.
How it works
Psyllium's soluble fibre forms a viscous gel in the intestine, absorbing water and slowing transit, converting loose watery stools into more formed consistency.
What to watch for
Must be taken with plenty of water (at least 240ml per dose). Avoid if intestinal obstruction is suspected. The same fibre acts as a laxative in constipation — the normalising effect works in both directions.
