How it works
Quercetin inhibits mast cell degranulation, reducing histamine release and the allergic inflammatory cascade that drives sinonasal congestion. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that may reduce mucosal oedema.
Evidence is mostly in vitro and animal studies — limited human clinical trial data. May interact with certain medications including antibiotics and blood thinners.
