for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
Vitamin B6 deficiency has been associated with CTS, and supplementation has been explored as a conservative treatment, though evidence is mixed.
How it works
Pyridoxine is a cofactor for neurotransmitter synthesis and myelin formation. Deficiency may increase susceptibility to compressive neuropathy. Anti-nociceptive effects have been proposed.
What to watch for
Evidence is mixed and several trials show no benefit. Doses above 100mg/day long-term can cause peripheral neuropathy — do not exceed this. Most useful in confirmed deficiency.
