for Hay Fever
Topical antihistamine eye drops (e.g. azelastine, olopatadine) applied directly to the eyes to relieve hay fever-related itchy, watery, and red eyes.
How it works
Antihistamine eye drops block H1 receptors in the conjunctiva, directly suppressing the histamine-mediated allergic response at the ocular surface. Onset is much faster than oral antihistamines for eye symptoms.
What to watch for
Remove contact lenses before applying and wait 15 minutes before reinserting. Some formulations cause transient burning. Not a substitute for nasal treatment.
