How it works

Restores neuromuscular control of the lumbar spine by reactivating deep stabilisers that are inhibited by pain and disuse. Reduces segmental instability and improves proprioception.

Most effective when prescribed specifically for spinal instability — less benefit for non-specific LBP. Should be supervised initially to ensure correct muscle activation. Pilates and clinical Pilates incorporate these principles.
