How it works

Moderate exercise improves dopaminergic function, reduces inflammation and improves sleep quality — all relevant to RLS pathophysiology. Intense late exercise may worsen symptoms.

Timing matters — exercise at least 4 hours before bedtime. Vigorous exercise close to sleep onset often worsens RLS. Yoga specifically shows promising results.

Why moderate evidence

Several studies show regular moderate exercise reduces RLS severity scores. A RCT of yoga showed significant RLS symptom improvement.

Noticeably less frequent issues after about a month of consistent use. Worth sticking with.

Good results overall. Had to adjust the approach slightly but found what worked for me. Would recommend trying it.

Some improvement but not as dramatic as I hoped. Might need longer to see full benefit. Still continuing.
