How it works

Iron is essential for haemoglobin oxygen transport and mitochondrial electron transport chain function. Even subclinical deficiency (low ferritin with normal haemoglobin) can impair energy metabolism.

Test ferritin levels before supplementing — excess iron is harmful. Ferritin below 50 μg/L often correlates with fatigue even without anaemia. Take with vitamin C; avoid with tea/coffee.
