How it works

COX enzyme inhibition reduces prostaglandins that sensitise nerve endings and drive inflammation in the paraspinal tissues and disc.

Short-term use only. Take with food to reduce GI side effects. Avoid with kidney disease, peptic ulcer, or cardiovascular conditions.

Why very strong evidence

NSAIDs are the preferred first-line analgesic for non-specific back pain per European guidelines. Paracetamol alone has been shown to be no better than placebo for this condition.
