Tart Cherry Juice

for Insomnia

Consuming 240ml of tart (Montmorency) cherry juice twice daily as a natural source of melatonin and sleep-promoting phytochemicals.

How it works

Tart cherries contain melatonin, tryptophan, and procyanidins that increase melatonin levels and reduce inflammation. Also inhibits indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase (IDO), increasing tryptophan availability for serotonin and melatonin synthesis.

What to watch for

Use unsweetened, concentrated tart cherry juice — not sweet cherry or generic fruit juice. High in natural sugar; consider this if managing blood glucose. Less potent than melatonin supplements.
